Charity Projects

CRS Tours supports the following organizations and Charity Projects:

1 ) Pack for a Purpose

We are proud members of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative that allows travelers like you to make a lasting impact on a community during your travels. If you save just a few kilos of space in your suitcase and bring supplies for rural schools or medical clinics in need, you will make a priceless impact in people’s lives, local children and families. Please click here to see what supplies are needed for our project/projects.

2) Corcovado Foundation

The Corcovado Foundation was created by concerned neighbors of Corcovado National Park to lead the fight to stop illegal hunting and logging. It is a local organization and the local leader in conservation, which works closely with the National Park Service to protect the wild heritage and the future or protected areas.

3) Green your Trip

The program Green your Trip allows you to enjoy your vacation in Costa Rica while supporting global environmental conservation. Through the purchase of a Green Your Trip Certificate ($15) on the web page www.corcovadofoundation.org, native tree species can be planted, which will fixate approximately the carbon footprint of a two-week vacation in Costa Rica (including lodging and transportation).

4) The Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct is an initiative of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), ECPAT International and UNICEF, developed both in countries of origin and countries of tourism destinations. It is a project which is seeking for the participation and commitment of the tourism industry to discourage and punish sexual exploitation of children and adolescents associated with travel and tourism.

What are we doing in Costa Rica?
