Itinerary
Embark on a journey to Drake Bay, nestled in the lush Osa Peninsula. Along the coastal route, you’ll uncover breathtaking spots, and upon reaching Drake Bay, you’ll be greeted by the natural paradise that envelops this splendid locale. Upon your arrival, indulge in a delightful lunch, and take the opportunity to explore the magnificent surroundings.
Tour to the Corcovado National Park
Embark on an adventure with a scenic 1-hour boat ride from Drake Bay to Corcovado National Park’s Sirena Station. This park boasts the highest biodiversity globally, around 3%. A 4/5-hour hike awaits, allowing you to witness a diverse array of wildlife, including four types of monkeys, birds, peccaries, coatis, sloths, and, with luck, the elusive tapir. Around 12:30 pm, journey back to Drake by boat, where a waiting taxi will transport you to a restaurant for lunch.
After the tour, head to the Bio-Lodge, where a snack will be prepared for an Environmental Education class with the local children. The afternoon includes engaging activities and games with children from environmental groups in rural communities where our impact is felt.
Introduction to the Regenerative Agriculture.
Immerse yourself in an introduction to Regenerative Agriculture. Depending on current needs, tasks may involve preparing organic fertilizers like compost or mountain microorganisms, readying soil for vegetable cultivation, applying mulch to the planting area, and planting various vegetables based on family priorities.
Enjoy a free afternoon, utilizing the time to prepare dinner. In the evening, engage in English lessons and share local anecdotes with community members, fostering connections and exchanging experiences.
Participate in preparing breakfast for the hostel staff and spend quality time connecting with them before your departure.
