Experience the unparalleled allure of the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica’s northern region through our meticulously crafted tour that blends scenic boat rides with immersive rainforest walks. This tour is designed to provide you with the most captivating views of this majestic volcano from every conceivable angle.

Your adventure begins with a brief 20-minute drive from your hotel to the Peninsula section of Arenal Volcano National Park, adjacent to Lake Arenal. Here, we embark on a leisurely 1.5 km (approximately 1 mile) trek along an easy trail, lasting about an hour. As you wander, relish the stunning vistas of Lake Arenal and the Tilarán Volcanic Mountain Range from several observation points scattered along the path. The trail culminates at a 12-meter (about 40 feet) high observation platform, offering an up-close, breathtaking perspective of the volcano. Here, our knowledgeable guides will provide a thorough explanation of the volcano’s history, its activity cycles, and geological formations, along with other intriguing facts.

Following the trail, we board a boat to navigate the forest-lined shores of Lake Arenal and the surrounding islets, enhancing your chances of wildlife sightings. This segment of the tour presents an excellent opportunity for capturing scenic photographs of the volcano, weather permitting. We then proceed to the village of El Castillo, a burgeoning community where a local family-run business welcomes us warmly. Enjoy a selection of traditional Costa Rican snacks, accompanied by coffee, fresh water, or natural juice, all while soaking in the picturesque lake views.
