Isla Damas Boat Tour
Isla Damas sits on Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast, where a network of mangrove canals and natural tunnels makes for good, slow wildlife watching by boat. This is a 4-hour guided trip, and because the water level in the canals depends on the tide, departure times are set by the tide rather than a fixed clock. Minimum group size is two.
Your bilingual guide navigates the canals while you look for the animals that live in and around the mangroves: herons, kingfishers, ospreys and frigate birds, along with monkeys and reptiles. It’s an easy, comfortable trip suitable for families, and children under 6 go free.
The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off, your guide, beverages, and lunch. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a camera.
