CRS Tours is a licensed Destination Management Company (DMC) based in San José and accredited by the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT). For more than 25 years we’ve planned and run trips across Costa Rica for independent travellers, families and groups — and we still get a kick out of showing people this country. From the first idea to the last transfer, the details are ours to handle.
We build every itinerary around you: your dates, your pace, and what you actually want to see — whether that’s rainforest hikes, quiet beaches, or a morning face-to-face with a sloth. Because our team is here on the ground, we know which lodges are worth it, how long the drives really take, and the spots that stay calm when everywhere else is busy.
Once you’re travelling, you’re never on your own. Our team speaks English, Spanish, Dutch and German, and you’ll have a 24-hour number for anything that comes up — so you can relax and let Costa Rica do the rest.

Jan came to Costa Rica in 1994 and started out as a tour guide. After years in the hotel industry he founded CRS Tours, which he still leads with the same passion for the country.
