Is a tailor-made trip more expensive than a package?
It depends on the choices you make — hotel style, private vehicle vs. shared transport, and how many guided activities you include. A tailor-made trip gives you control over where that budget goes, rather than a fixed price for a fixed route.
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier the better, especially for travel in the December–April high season when the hotels and guides we recommend most often book out first. That said, tell us your dates and we will be honest about what is still realistic.
Can the itinerary change once I’m already travelling?
Yes, within reason — that is part of why we keep one local team on your trip throughout. If the weather, your energy, or your interests change mid-trip, tell your contact and we will adjust what we can.
Do you arrange transfers and internal flights as well?
Yes. Private transport, domestic flights where a route calls for one, accommodation, guides and park entries can all be arranged as a single itinerary.
Is there a minimum trip length?
No fixed minimum. Tell us how many days you have and we will tell you honestly how much of Costa Rica that time realistically covers, rather than overloading a short trip.
Do you plan trips for families, honeymooners and groups of friends?
Yes — the routing and pace are simply built differently depending on who is travelling. Tell us who is in your group and we will plan around that from the start.
